Enrollment Information
Voluntary prekindergarten (VPK) programs prepare children for kindergarten and beyond, providing a strong foundation for the future. To enroll in our VPK program, students must be four years old before September 1st of their enrollment year. Each student must obtain a VPK voucher from the Division of Early Learning.

What We're All About
Head Start Preschool 5A adheres to a holistic approach of early childhood education. For our VPK students, we utilize the Starfall curriculum as well as additional supplemental content. When we expose children to different environments (often through our engaging field trips!) and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our Preschool, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
Typically, our VPK class begins at 8:30am and ends at 12:30pm. Our specialized VPK Wraparound Program allows children to continue learning until closing time at 6:30pm.
